Choose one of the topics below and write a five-paragraph persuasive essay.

Media
· Media violence has a negative effect.
· The influence of the internet: more harm than good?
· Advertising: information or manipulation?

Technology
· Many people choose to work at home in front of a computer screen. What dangers do we face by depending on computer screens rather than face-to-face contact as our main means of communication?
· Should car drivers be prohibited from using cell phones?

Ethical questions
· The death penalty: is it murder or a just punishment? Can it deter crime?
· Should the "right to die" be considered a right?
· Should animal experimentation be permitted?
· Human beings do not need to eat meat in order to maintain good health because they can get all their food needs from meatless products and meatless substances. A vegetarian diet is as healthy as a diet containing meat.

School and Life
· Free public transport for everybody
· School uniform: good tradition or outdated habit?
· Curfew for children under the age of fifteen

How do these companies (or other huge corporations) affect people's lives around the world? Economically, culturally, socially, are they changing the world?
